JetAirways Expands Domestic Network Kolkata Ahmedabad Thrice A Week and Enhances Frequency On Kolkata-Guwahati Sector

December 07, 2007:  Jet Airways, India’s premier airline, announces the introduction of a new Kolkata-Ahmedabad service with the operation of three flights a week and additional frequency on the Kolkata – Guwahati sector, effective December 17, 2007.
 
These flights will operate with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 24 seats in Premiere Class and 120 seats in Economy Class.

Jet Airways’ flights 9W 631 (Kolkata –Ahmedabad) will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Kolkata at 1820 hrs and arrive at Ahmedabad at 2050 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 632 (Ahmedabad-Kolkata) will depart Ahmedabad at 2125 hrs and arrive at Kolkata at 2355 hrs.

Jet Airways also announces the enhancement of its frequency on Kolkata – Guwahati sector by introducing additional frequencies three times a week.  Jet Airways flight 9W 627 (Kolkata-Guwahati) will depart on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Kolkata at 1820 hrs and arrive at Guwahati at 1930 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 628 (Guwahati-Kolkata) will depart Guwahati at 2005 hrs and arrive at Kolkata at 2115 hrs.

Commenting on the introduction of these new services, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said, “As Jet Airways’ hub in Eastern India, Kolkata is very important. To cater to mainly business and religious traffic between Kolkata and Ahmedabad, Jet Airways has introduced a new flight on this sector. On the Kolkata-Guwahati sector, Jet Airways already handles primarily business, as also medical and student traffic with its two morning flights. The airline has thus introduced a new evening flight on the Kolkata-Guwahati sector with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, especially scheduled to allow Jet Airways’ passengers travelling on this sector a convenient same-day return option.”

Jet Airways Connects Delhi and Kolkata with Dhaka,Effective December 16, 2007

December 06, 2007 : Jet Airways, India’s premier airline today announced the launch of its daily direct flight from Kolkata to Dhaka and four flights a week from Delhi to Dhaka, effective December 16, 2007.  With the induction of these new flights, Jet Airways’ Dhaka passengers will get a convenient connection when flying to and from London via Delhi.

At Brussels, flights will be synchronized in order to provide passengers seamless transfer between Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to cities in North America – New York(JFK),Toronto and New York(Newark).

Jet Airways To Revise Fuel Surcharge On All Domestic Tickets,Effective December 03,2007

December 01, 2007 : Jet Airways has today announced that effective Monday, December 03, 2007 the airline will revise the fuel surcharge by INR 300 on all types of fares both Club Premiere and Economy Class tickets on all domestic routes in India.

This surcharge has been necessitated in view of the escalation in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. 

The revised fuel surcharge of INR 1650 which has gone up from INR 1350 will be applicable on all tickets purchased within India. This surcharge of INR 1650 will be collected per flight coupon on all domestic routes within India. For tickets issued outside India, a surcharge of USD 42 will be applicable on each sector of domestic travel in India.
It is also applicable on all domestic segments, even if the domestic segment is part of an international journey.

The surcharge will not be applicable on sale of tickets on or before December 02, 2007.   However, the surcharge will be applicable if tickets are presented for any voluntary change on or after December 03, 2007.

Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege Programme enters into Rewards Conversion Agreement with Barclays Bank PLC and Deutsche Bank

November 23, 2007 : Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege, the frequent flyer programme from India’s leading airline has entered into a ‘credit card points to JPMiles conversion’ partnership with two leading multi-national banks, Barclays Bank PLC and Deutsche Bank.

With this, valid Barclay Bank credit card (Barclaycard) holders based in India will have an opportunity to redeem their reward points towards JPMiles. Barclaycard holders need to accrue a minimum of 500 BarclaycardPoints to be eligible for the JPMiles conversion programme. Accrued BarclaycardPoints can be converted to JPMiles in a batch of 1450 Barclaycard Points. For every batch of 1450 BarclaycardPoints, JetPrivilege members will earn 500 JPMiles.

Similarly, valid Deutsche Bank credit card holders based in India will have an opportunity to redeem their reward points towards JPMiles. Deutsche Bank card holders need to accrue a minimum of 250 Deutsche Bank Reward Points to be eligible for the conversion of their reward points to JPMiles. These points can be converted to JPMiles in batches of 100 Deutsche Bank Reward Points. For every 100 such Points, JetPrivilege members will earn 100 JPMiles.

These partnerships will give the credit card holders of both banks more redemption options on their credit cards. The more they use their credit cards, the more points they will accrue, which can be converted into JPMiles for free flights on Jet Airways or its twelve airline partners.

JET AIRWAYS EXPANDS CODESHARE PACT WITH BRUSSELS AIRLINES

December 04, 2007: Jet Airways, India’s premier airline, is pleased to announce an expansion of its partnership with Brussels Airlines, offering seamless travel to Jet Airways’ valued customers from India to Birmingham and Madrid via its hub in Brussels.

Effective December 06, 2007, the codeshare arrangement, which is currently applicable on Jet Airways operated flights from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai to Brussels, will be extended to connecting Brussels Airlines operated services to Birmingham and Madrid.

JET AIRWAYS ANNOUNCES CODESHARE WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES

November 19, 2007 : Jet Airways is pleased to announce its codeshare partnership with American Airlines offering its valued customers seamless travel between India and the USA.

Subject to regulatory approvals, effective 16 January 2008, Jet Airways will place its 9W designator code on certain American Airlines domestic flights out of New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK). Jet Airways operates daily flights between India and New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) via its Brussels hub.

In turn, American Airlines will place its AA designator code on Jet Airways flights to certain cities in India beyond the Jet Airways Delhi hub.  American Airlines flies nonstop daily between its Chicago hub and Delhi. 

In addition, American and Jet Airways will codeshare and cooperate on traffic between the United States and India that connects at Brussels Airport as well as hope to expand their codeshare cooperation on other routes in the months ahead.
